Marva Jo's Bistro Where Boredom Ends and Nightlife Begins

Welcome to ‘Marva Joe’s Bistro’ "where boredom ends and nightlife begins." The venue is named after the proprietor the legendary Marva Josie, featured vocalist for the man that many Jazz historians consider the father of Jazz; Earl ‘Fatha’ Hines, considered to be the originator of Jazz Piano. Ms. Josie has performed across the globe taking her unique and unparalleled voice to the Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia, Amsterdam, Holland, London, UK and to the farthest corners of the earth. Ms. Josie is a native of the Mon Valley (she was born and reared in the city of Clairton, PA). Marva is now embarking on the second leg of a “marvelous” career creating a new musical atmosphere for the and “mecca” and headquarters in the region where she grew up. She is now bringing a wealth of experience back home to thrill and entertain those who have missed the person that the jazz world simply defined as “the singer.”

Her master of ceremonies and co-host at the "Bistro" will be none other than Aubrey Bruce, sports journalist and musician. Mr. Bruce has been a writer for the New Pittsburgh Courier for over three decades, covering numerous Super Bowls, Pro Bowls, World Series and MLB All-Star games.. He has been a musical producer and promoter since the tender age of 18; producing live shows featuring such artists as Chick Corea, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, Norman Connors, Roy Ayers, George Benson, Angela Bofill, Atlantic Starr, Diane Reeves, Morris Day and last but not least the legendary band "War.". He also produced the Black Entertainment Television Summer-fest featuring Vanessa Williams, Jamie Foxx, Charles "Roc" Dutton, Ronnie Laws, Chico Debarge.
